After watching Gary Hustwit's Objectified, I chose to create a bottle of Jet Glue, which is widely used to increase the longevity of pointe shoes for ballet. This is in response to the end of the documentary when the speakers reflect on the inherent creativity of consumers and the practice of making things for oneself. The images of a modified guitar and bicycle inspired me to create a bottle of Jet Glue as it is a means for individuals to adapt when design does not meet their needs.
